Many of you have asked to be kept up to date on the kitchen remodel project, and this blog will be the best way for us to do that, so I hope you enjoy!

Things are officially underway now, as demolition started this morning.  We now have a lot of plastic and floor covering on either side of the kitchen, and plenty of noise and commotion going on.  We are in for an estimated four to six weeks of construction.  We hired Keystone Kitchens for the job, and have been extremely pleased with them during the lead up to demo.

We spent last weekend boxing up everything in the old kitchen and setting up our temp cooking area.  Jake (one of our three cats) relentlessly explored every cabinet and drawer as it was emptied.

I’ll take some pics of the progress made today when the light is good (or good-enough, being as we are in Seattle) tomorrow morning and post them.  Until then, here’s a few obligatory “before” shots taken moments before the first pry bar came out.
